Photo exhibition on health begins at Mongsangei

Continuing the campaign on health related issues, a five-day photo exhibition on the theme 'Health & Family Welfare' kick-started from today at Mira Public School, Mongsangei in Imphal West district.
The five-day long campaign, which would go on till July 27, is being organized by the Field Exhibition Office, Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity (DAVP), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Imphal in collaboration with Mira Public School Authority.
Rolling the campaign into motion, Lourembam Dayamoy Singh, Founder Chairman of Mira Public School, who graced the inaugural function as Chief Guest, said that health is the most important asset of human beings.

He observed that one requires a healthy habit in order to attain a healthy body.
He also emphasized on having healthy food so as to have a healthy body and mind.
Suggesting that one must avoid intoxicant things for a healthy life, Dayamoy noted that food items such as Mairongbi Hawai is good for health, which can prevent diseases like Malaria.
Encouraged by the enthusiastic response from staff, students and visitors, the Chief Guest expressed his willingness to hold another photo exhibition in his school.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr Gin Gangte, IIS, Field Exhibition Officer, DAVP, Imphal said that the photo exhibition is an awareness campaign that have taken place to create public awareness about the importance of health.
The Field Exhibition Officer said that one should avoid intoxicants such as tobacco, pan or liquor in order to achieve the goal of health.
Saying that health should be the biggest asset for human beings, Gin Gangte added that healthy habits must be encouraged for attaining physical health of the body and mind.
Explaining that visuals that are on displayed conveys the desired goals of mass awareness on health, the Field Exhibition Officer calls upon the public to have a better understanding of health related issues.
Significantly, about 25 photographs relating to health which were paint by the students of Mira Public School were also on displayed as part of the campaign.
The inauguration programme was also attended by staff and students of Mira Public School, besides parents and youth of Mongsangei area.
