Imphal, July 23 2011: One day seminar on HIV&AIDS for Muslim religious leaders was organized by the Bosco Mangaal today at Keikhu where 38 Imams and Maulavis of Kshetrigao area participated.

The seminar was moderated by W Bimolata , Project Manager of Bosco Mangaal.

K Olini, Counsellor, Bosco Mangaal and Dr.Salamat, Medical Officer, public hospital read seminar papers on basic information on HIV&AIDS and its impact to the society.

In the seminar the Islam leaders took a decision that the information on ART adherence will be announced during the Ramjan month so that PLHIV in the area, knowing the consequences of ART non adherence, should take ART medicines on time.

They also discussed the acceptance given in the Quran that one can break fasting if a Muslim suffers from life threatening diseases.
