Imphal, May 23 2020: The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has appealed to all State Governments to permit operation of petrol pumps/retail outlets, LPG and oil agencies including their backend activities like refineries, godowns and transportation related activities of LPG, petrol and diesel.

A letter sent by Joint Secretary (Marketing), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas Navneet Mohan Kothari appealed to all State Governments to allow movement of supplies to oil refineries and petrochemical projects, supply of natural gas as well as movement of employees/workers based on identity card issued by corporations, retail outlet owners and distributors.

It further appealed to all State Governments to provide assistance in mobilising truck crew like drivers and helpers for transporting LPG cylinders.
