NAB seizes 120 kg of Ganja

Imphal, September 22 2012: Personnel of Narcotic and Affairs of Border (NAB) seized 120 kg of contraband ganja from an individual who was carrying it in an auto-rickshaw at Lamlong Bazaar near traffic island under Imphal East district early morning today.

The arrested individual has been identified as Ngangom Ibomcha (35) s/o Ng Iboyaima of Sekta Mayai Leikai under Lamlai Police Station.

The registration number of the autorickshaw in which the contraband was being carried is MNO 1 Y 8796 .

The NAB team led by its Officer in-charge Inspector RK Bikramjit seized 120 kg of Ganja packed in five gunny bags from the autorickshaw.

The estimated cost of the seizure is said to be around Rs 1 lakh in local market.
