CPI volunteers conduct cleanliness drive

Imphal, August 22 2020: A team of volunteers of CPI Manipur State Council led by its State secretary, conducted a sanitation drive in and around the vicinity of the Statue of Irabot installed at Lilasing Khongnangkhong.

The drive was conducted on account of the party's 73rd foundation day celebration to be held tomorrow, said a statement of the CPI Manipur State Council.

The party was founded on August 20, 1948, it said.

The party recalls Hijam Irabot who is one of its founder members badly as the State, particularly the working class reel due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 and the lockdown induced by it, the statement said.
