DAVP photos on Development attract visitors at Moirang

Aimed at creating mass awareness about the Centrally-sponsored schemes in Manipur, an 8-day long photo exhibition on the theme of 'Development Initiatives in North East' kicked-off Saturday at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School.
The exhibition which would continue till June 29 is being organized by the Field Exhibition Office, Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity (DAVP), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Imphal.
Setting the campaign into motion, S Kumar Singh, Principal of Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, who graced the inaugural function as Chief Guest, exhorted the students and public of the area to take advantage of the programme.
He said that visual being a strong medium of communication, the exhibition would be beneficial for everyone who wish to know and understand the developmental programmes and policies of the Government of India.
Earlier, proposing the key-note address, Dr Gin Gangte, IIS, Field Exhibition Officer, DAVP, Imphal, explained that the aims of exhibition is to disseminate information about the various development projects taken up by the Government of India.
A total of 130 photographs are on displayed in the exhibition.
