Poster campaign on conservation of flora and fauna at Ukhrul

Ukhrul, July 21 2018: BJP Youth Wing of Ukhrul District launched a poster campaign to spread awareness on "Preservation and conservation of our floras and fauna found in the district" .

Convener, BJP Ukhrul District for Forest Environment and Climatic change, Michael Shaiza expressed that BJP Youth, Ukhrul will continue to explore all possible activities to save the earth.

Michael Shaiza said that BJP Youth wing, Ukhrul conducted the poster campaign to conserve flora and fauna in the Ukhrul district under the leadership and guidance of the Forest Minister Th Shyamkumar and PCCF Angami while adding that he will continue to spread awareness by encouraging various activities on forest conservation, tree plantation and public awareness on climate change.

According to M Shaiza more than 29 posters have been put up across Ukhrul highlighting the need of forest conservation and forest rejuvenation.

The DFO, Ukhrul Shangam Shaliwo who attended the event as chief guest urged the people to plant more trees and make Ukhrul district a plastic waste free zone.
