Assam Rifles distributes educational materials, computer set

In a bid to support students amidst challenging circumstances, the 19 Assam Rifles Battalion distributed educational resources at the L Hengjol Community Education Centre in Kangpokpi district.
Led by Colonel Karan Sandhu, Commandant 19 Assam Rifles distributed more than 250 sets of textbooks to students from Class 1 to X apart from two computer sets with printers.
Acknowledging the hurdles faced by students, Col Sandhu stressed on the importance of access to educational resources, underlining that, "It is our responsibility to empower young minds and enable them to reach new heights of potential" .
The distribution function garnered widespread participation from various stakeholders, including the Kuki Inpi South West Sadar Hills, KSO Moltam Block, Kuki Women Union, village chiefs, villagers, and students.
Lalboi Haokip, KSO Moltam Block president, expressed gratitude to 19 Assam Rifles for the noble gesture.
It is worth mentioning that the Community Education Centre was established by various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Moltam Block to address the educational requirements of students following ethnic unrest that rendered many institutions inoperative.

Meanwhile, Maram Battalion of Jwalamukhi Sector under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles E (East), distributed a computer set along with colour printer to remote Chowainu village in the Mao region today.
Maram Battalion in a significant stride towards digital empowerment distributed the computer set along with colour printer to Chowainu village authorities with an aim at fostering technological inclusivity in remote villages thereby emphasising on impact of technology on education and community development and affecting change at grassroots level, said a statement by the Assam Rifles.
This initiative is aligned with the Assam Rifles commitment to bridge the digital divide and promote skill development in remote areas.
The initiative taken by the Maram Battalion was appreciated by the village authorities who expressed heartfelt gratitude for such a noble and thoughtful gesture.
