Teachers' training starts

Chandel, January 21 2020:
A five day training, under the National Initiative on School Teachers Head Holistic Advancement (NISTHA) Programme, for teachers has started at Autonomous District Council (ADC) Chandel's conference hall yesterday.
The training, under the aegis of SCERT Manipur and organised by ADC Chandel Education Department, was attended by NISTHA Programme Chandel Additional Nodal Officer and ADC Chandel Deputy Inspector of Schools P Morung Maring, Assistant Inspector of Schools and Assistant Nodal Officer Lhunkhosei Touthang.
Speaking at the inaugural function, P Morung said that NISTHA is the largest integrated teachers training programme undertaken by the Ministry of Human Resources to improve quality of school education.
It aims to build competencies among all the teachers, he added.
The training will be organised for the 715 teachers under the ADC Chandel at its conference hall and DIET Chandel.
No teacher will be allowed to seek leave of absence except on medical ground, he added encouraging all the teachers to attend.
M Tombisana Singh (National Awardee), Th Radhamani, G Anita, L Raju,Y Bira, SB Liangoiching are attending the training programme, which will end on January 24, as resource persons.
