RK Imo Singh, Member of Manipur Legislative Assembly representing Sagolband A/C has questioned the statements purportedly made by the Chief Minister of Mizoram Lal Thanhawla and Nagaland Rajya Sabha MP Khekiho Zhimomi.
In a written statement forwarded to media houses, RK Imo said the Chief Minister of Mizoram had written a letter to the Prime Minister of India "not to implement ILP in Manipur" and the Nagaland MP had expressed his opinion on dividing Manipur as communities could not "co-exist peacefully" in the same State.
"Who are they to decide what is to be done in Manipur? We do not interfere nor give statements regarding what needs to be done inside another state.
Why don't you remove ILP from Mizoram or Divide Nagaland for NSCN (IM) and NSCN (K)?," asked the MLA.
MLA RK Imo has also requested such senior leaders to refrain from giving statements which could hurt the sentiments of the surrounding States and asked them to concentrate on governance in their respective States.
