ABVP airs student issues to MU VC

Imphal, May 19 2025: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Manipur University (MU) unit has submitted a representation to vice-chancellor Prof N Lokendra on Monday, highlighting several pressing issues faced by students.

The representation included demands for improved sanitary across departments and hostels, availability of sufficient research equipment for science students, construction of vehicle parking sheds in some departments, installation of functional drinking water facilities, and timely release of student stipends and fellowships.

During the meeting, the VC listened to the ABVP representatives and assured them that necessary steps would be taken at the earliest to address the concerns.

The ABVP delegation was led by state secretary Gautam Philem, accompanied by joint secretaries Laishram Rajesh and Pinubala Laishram, NEC members Dr Aribam Indira and Rajiangong Golmei, MU unit president Ganguli K, MU unit secretary Nandarani, and SHODH state co-coordinator Dilip Kumar, along with other functionaries of the university.
