KSDC urged to lift public blockade

Imphal, November 18 2012:
Five organizations of the hills' students have appealed the Kuki State Demand Committee (KSDC) to lift the ongoing indefinite blockade in view of the Teacher's Eligibility Test (TET) which falls on November 27 .
In a joint press statement by the Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA), Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS), Zeliangrong Students Union Manipur (ZSUM), Naga Student Union Chandel (NSUC) and Churachandpur District Students Union (CDSU) have said that more than 25, 000 students from different parts of the hill districts would be appearing the examination and for some parts of the district, it took more than 3-4 days to reach the examination centre.
The press statement appealed the KSDC to lift the indefinite blockade in all the highways.
While appealing the KSDC for the larger interest of the students' community, the same appeal has been made to different organizations not to call any bandh or blockade till the TET examination is over.
