Imphal, September 18 2013:
The Co-ordination Committee (CorCom) of six UG groups namely KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK (Pro), RPF & UNLF has clarified that it has no hand over the Khuyathong bomb blast incident on September 13 which claimed the lives of nine non-Manipuri construction workers and injured 12 others including a local man.
In a press statement issued by its Media Co-ordinator H Poirei, CorCom said that it has come up with the clarification to clear the doubt, if there is any, in the mind of the people, on the possible of the group and any of its constituent units in the dastardly act as CorCom had issued a quit notice to the non-Manipuris settling in the State to leave the State before December 31, 2012. However, the stand of CorCom over the quit notice still remains intact without any change, the statement added.
CorCom observed that in the midst of the alarming situation prevailing in the State following uninterrupted flow of migrant workers thereby threatening the very existence of indigenous population,India Government is trying to invade the people of the State through its "Demographic Invasion" where the non-Manipuris are pushed in to the State with the Indian security forces are acting as their shield.
Even at this point of time, Chief Minister O Ibobi, who has no love for the indigenous people of the State in his heart, is supporting the move of the India Government and does not care whether the indigenous people of the State exist or not, it charged.
The statement went on to note that the population of non-Manipuris in the State has exceeded that of the total population of the indigenous people in the hills excluding the population of the Meeteis in the plains.
The situation in Jiribam sub-division is worst with the population of the non-Manipuris there far exceeding the indigenous population.
With this trend in progress, the population invasion of the Indian Government in Manipur is on its way to success.
As such, to prevent from further degradation of the State, the non-Manipuris are asked to leave the State at the earliest possible, the statement of the CorCom added.
