Imphal, August 18 2018:
Kangleipak Students Association (KSA) has threatened to close down Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) office, if the Board fails to declare this year's Class X compartmental examination result within five days.
A press release issued by the secretary general of KSA today informed that the result for the class X compartmental examination which was held on July 21, has not been declared till date.
Last year, the same examination was held on July 18 and the result was declared on July 31, although 4511 students appeared the exam.
This year, however, only 3914 students appeared the class X compartmental examination but the result has not been declared till date, KSA alleged.
On the other hand, the fixture of August 20 as the last date for on-line registration to the Council of Higher Secondary School has caused immense hardships to the students as the results of the compartmental exam have not been declared yet.
Demanding BOSEM to announce the exam results within five days, KSA warned that in case the Board fails to do so, it will close down BOSEM office.
KSA further appealed to COHSEM to further extend the deadline for on-line registration in the interest of the students who are waiting for the compartmental results.
It also urged the authority concerned and the schools concerned to take up necessary steps to enable those students who pass the said compartmental exam to study in class XI .
