69 Bn CRPF assists New Keithelmanbi people

Kangpokpi, April 18 2020:
The less fortunate people who were worst hit by the Nationwide lockdown in New Keithelmanbi areas in Kangpokpi district were helped by the Central Reserve Police Force posted in the area.
The distribution of food and other essential items to the poorest families in New Keithelmanbi area started yesterday under A/Coy 69 Bn Civic Action Programme and culminated today.
The food and relief materials were provided to 75 families worst hit by lockdown under the supervision of 69 Bn Commandant, Ujjal Dutta and T Lupheng, Assistant Commandant, Commander of A/Coy 69 Bn CRPF, New Keithelmanbi.
The families to whom relief materials were provided are generally daily wage earners who are facing extreme hardships due to COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown.
The villagers were sensitised about the Government efforts to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic and urged to strictly abide by the instructions of the Government to prevent further spread of the disease.
The relief items provided include rice, dal, potatoes, edible oil, onion, sugar, salt, detergent powder, dettol soap, mask and hand sanitizer.
Lonjang, Kotlen, Thanglongbung, S Bijang, Haibung, S Khaithong (Lhangnom), Lhunchin, P Mangjol and Ema Foundation (Children Orphanage) were covered by the initiative.
