Thoubal, January 18 2018: United Village Development Apex Committee (UVDAC), a combined body of 22 local clubs of Khangabok village today, inspected the ring band constructed in between Kharung pat and Ikop pat of Khangabok AC, Thoubal district.

Speaking to a team of media persons, founder chairman of the committee, Th Dilip stated that the ring band is supposed to prevent grave flood situation during rainy season, however, owing to the low height of the ring band, constructed by the previous Government, around 1000 acres of paddy fields are flooded every monsoon.

He stated that if the ring band are constructed properly, the fields could be even utilised for double cropping.

Lauding the present BJP Government, he said that the misery would now be over since the former vice president of BJP Manipur Pradesh as well as social worker of Khangabok AC, Th Jadumani took up the initiative to revamp the said ring band.

He urged the State Government to complete the repairing work before March and assure to extend maximum support in completing the ring band.
