CM Assures Welfare Measures For Scribes
AMWJU celebrates 39th foundation day

Imphal, September 17, 2012: The All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) celebrated its 39th Foundation Day at the Manipur Press Club on Sunday.

CM O Ibobi, Works Minister Kh Ratankumar and President of AMWJU, A Mobi graced the celebration function as the chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.

A number of retired journalists were honoured with gifts on the occasion.

Speaking at the occasion, Chief Minister O Ibobi assured of looking into the development and welfare measures of the media fraternity.Appreciating the responsibility.

Shouldered by media persons in the State, O Ibobi also shared the displeasure on frequent threats and harassment to media persons by certain groups while appealing all concerned to stop such intimidating acts in future.

The Works Minister has also assured all assistances to look into the problems faced by the media fraternity.
