GP Women's College celebrates Diamond Jubilee

Imphal, February 17 2025: GP Women's College, Imphal celebrated its 60th Foundation Day at the Central Hall of the College today.

The Diamond Jubilee celebration was accompanied by a prize distribution ceremony to honour toppers of the college, including subject toppers in 2024 .

It was attended by Dwijamani Dev Sharma Memorial Trust chairman, H Dev Shekhar Sharma; GP Women's College, Principal, Prof L Rajen Singh and Teachers Forum, GP Women's College president, Dr Akoijam Nirmala Devi as presidium members.

The programme began with the offering of floral tributes on the bust of Ima Ghanapriya, founder of GP Women's College and on the portrait of her son H Dwijamani Dev Sharma.

Speaking on the occasion, H Dev Shekhar Sharma hailed the college as one of the most reputable women's colleges in the State.

He also expressed joy that many students of the College have excelled in various fields and professions.

As part of the event, university toppers, college toppers and subjects toppers of the college in 2024 were awarded cash prizes along with a citation.
