Imphal, July 16 2024: The Computer Science Department of Manipur University hosted AI Appreciation Day at the department today by showcasing the transformative power of artificial intelligence (AI).

According to a statement, the event was graced by Professor N Lokendra Singh, Vice Chancellor, MU as the chief guest.

Other dignitaries include Professor Sumitra Phanjoubam, Dean of the School of Mathematical .& Physical Sciences and Professor A Rajamani Singha, Director of the IQAC at MU.

Meanwhile, Tejmani Sinam, Head of Computer Science Department presided over the function.

The event focused on acknowledging the impact of AI across diverse sectors including healthcare, education and entertainment.

Attendees engaged in stimulating activities, thought-provoking discussions and hands-on workshops that showcased AI advancements and its future possibilities.

The gathering was attended by faculty members, research scholars and students from both the Computer Science Department and other departments across the University.
