Ukhrul, July 16 2019: Four zonal chairmen of Ukhrul district have urged the State Government to provide on road remittance services for Ukhrul district.

According to a statement of Western Tangkhul villages chairman Mangang Raman, 'banks in Ukhrul are likely to suffer from cash crunch in a short period of time due to unreliable air remittance' .

M Raman claimed that there has been no remittance since from February last.

The zonal chairmen had also submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister asking for on road remittance, he said asserting that air remittance would not be feasible during the monsoon season.
