Sit in protest and rally held against 'anti farmers Bill'

Imphal, December 14 2020: A sit in protest was staged at Irabot Bhavan today organised by Manipur Loumi Lup against the enactment of the Farm Bills by the BJP led Government.

L Sotinkumar, secretary of CPI Manipur, N Singhajit, president of Manipur Loumi Lup, U Rajmohon vice president and Ibobi, secretary of the Lup participated in today's protest among others.

L Sotinkumar stated that the implementation of the Farm Bills will only bring misfortune to the poor farmers as the Bill favours the corporate houses.

Therefore everyone should strive collectively for the withdrawal of these anti farmers Bills.

President of Loumi Lup, Singhajit alleged that the Bills do not have any provision in the interest of the farmers and stated that they will continue to stage agitations against the Bills.

Later, a rally was carried out along BT road.
