CRPF celebrates driver's day

Imphal, January 14 2013:
Wishing all the drivers of civil trucks, tankers and CRPF drivers, 69Bn CRPF celebrated Driver's Day at Mantripukhri on Monday.
Addressing the drivers, Commandant of the battalion, Rakesh Kumar Singh said that drivers of 69Bn are providing security to IOCL convoy to ensure proper and smooth supply of essential services in the state and are playing crucial role in the day-to-day functioning and progress of the state.
Lives and injuries on road can be avoided if we follow road disciplines and traffic rules religiously.
Applauding the roles of civil truck drivers who are working in difficult conditions, Second-In Command of the Battalion, Helal Firoz said that we need to understand importance roles of drivers in a society.
On the occasion, drivers shared their experiences and challenges that they are facing due to lack of amenities along National Highways/State Highways especially poor condition of Imphal-Jiribam road.
CRPF's DIG, B D Das also attended the function and greeted all the drivers on the occasion.
