Active cases come down to 8

Imphal, May 13 2022:
As the state witnessed yet another day of zero new Covid-19 positive case coupled with one recovery from home isolation, the number of active cases has come down to eight on Friday.
No death case was reported on Friday and the toll remains at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, out of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
Out of the eight active cases, 3 (37.50 per cent) are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,442 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 10 new positive cases and zero fatality.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 5 and 0 respectively.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,230 (general population -1,32,216 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,102 (general population - 1,30,095 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and num ber of active cases is 8 (general population).
The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent.
A total of 117 D-type and 21 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 1612 vaccine doses administered on Thursday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,62,477, out of which 12,13,905 had received the second doses and 90,060 taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48748), Imphal East (30448), Thoubal (10161), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3135), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9843), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3277), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2726), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036), and Pherzawl (465).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,225 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,684 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,19,231 tests per million population against the national average of 5,99,629 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent while cumulative positivity rate is 8.52 per cent.
