Imphal, January 13 2019:
Condemning the suspension of the Examination Controller of Board Of Secondary Education (BOSEM) L Phulchand based on the enquiry report concerning the mark tabulation scam of HSLC Examination 2018, Justice Foundation Manipur has demanded the authority concerned to properly find out the culprits involved in the scam and to award appropriate punishment against the said culprits reasoning that the Controller should not be blamed for the scam.
Justice Foundation also demanded the State Government to conduct enquiry upon BOSEM Chairman, Member Secretary and Member as well in connection with the scam.
A press release issued by the president of Justice Foundation reasoned that suspension of the Examination Controller for alleged non cooperation to the enquiry committee is not the right choice.
It claimed that investigation regarding finding the culprits behind the mark tabulation scandal has not relation whatsoever with the details of the paper setter or moderators and added that the Secretary of BOSEM is its Head of the Administrator and the Secretary was the Chairman in-charge of BOSEM at the time as well.
In light of such facts, the potential and credibility of the enquiry committee are brought to question, it alleged questioning what is the use of constituting an enquiry committee if it cannot even properly investigate and find out the culprits behind the mark tampering scam.
It then claimed that if a high power committee is constituted by the Government, then all of the truth will come pouring out.
As such, it demanded the authority concerned to find and award appropriate punishment to the culprits involved in the scam and to launch an immediate enquiry upon the Chairman, Member Secretary and Member of the Board as well.
