NIB, NABARD Consultancy sign agreement

New Land Use Policy (NLUP) Implementing Board and NABARD Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd (NABCONS) inked an agreement at NLUP Conference Hall today to act as a 3rd Party Monitoring on the performances of the ongoing Mizoram Government flagship programme New Land Used Policy (NLUP) .
With the acknowledgement of Mizoram Planning and Finance minister H.Liansailova, who is also the NLUP Nodal minister, the agreement was signed on behalf of NABCONS by Regional Manager RK Das and on behalf of NLUP by Secretary Zorammuana.
NABCONS will begin the supervising work from today from one of the NLUP offices.
When the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) had approved Rs.2,873 crore and Rs 13 lakhs for the NLUP Project, the agreement was signed with DJRC Ltd for the 3rd Party Monitoring, at the cost of Rs 95 lakhs.
But since the company could not meet the expectation of the NLUP officials, an agreement has now been signed with the second lowest bidder NABCONS at Rs 1.15 crore.
In the agreement, several guidelines are mentioned by which NABCONS which will carry out the monitoring work.
The information required by NABCONS and NLUP related important data are proposed to be provided before Christmas, as per the agreement, and in order that NABCONS can begin its work immediately, the 1st installment Rs.11.5 lakh has also been released.
Urging the Kuki State Demand Committee (KSDC) to revoke its decision to boycott the ASEAN car rally, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam has said that the State Government will put into force all possible measures to make the rally a success.
