IE police celebrate Ningol Chakkouba

Imphal, November 12 2015: Imphal East district police today celebrated Ningol Chakkouba with various women leaders of the district to enhance relation between public and police at Hqs SP complex, Porompat.

Women belonging to various associations and organizations of the district were present at the occasion.

The bond of brotherly love between police and womenfolk was promoted by exchanging blessings and well-wishes.

The event was organized with an aim to give an impression to the public that police are also human beings and they also have lots of affection for their sisters and mothers of the society.

Speaking at the solemn occasion, SP Kamei Angam Romanus said that the blessings from sisters and mothers of the district have made the event a grand success.

The SP expressed hope that the grand feast and exchange of greetings would go a long way in enhancing the relation between police and public.

Police alone can't maintain peace and law and order without the support and co-operation from the public, he said.

It may be mentioned that Imphal East district police have been organizing Ningol Chakkouba since the past few years.

Top police officers of the district including SP Angam Kamei Romanus, Additional SP (Operations) Singhajit, Additional SP (Law and Order) Manjit, Imphal East women police station OC Ushakiran and others were present at the occasion.
