RIMS RHTC building inaugurated

Imphal, February 12 2022:
A newly renovated RHTC building of RIMS in Bishnupur district has been inaugurated on Saturday by Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) director Prof A Santa Singh.
In his inauguration speech, Prof Santa stated that the newly renovated RHTC will be a better training centre of students while doctors and students will get benefited from this newly renovated RHTC while treating the patient and during their trainings.
He thanked Manipur State Cooperative Union Technical Engineering Cell (MSCUTEC) for timely construction of boundary walls of the centre and said that doctors and students will feel safe and secure during their trainings and working.
The director further stated that facilities like badminton court and development of its campus are in the pipe line and expressed the centre will serve more purpose if it is converted to hospital in the near future.
RIMS Hospital medical superintendent Prof N Sanjib Singh appreciated the director for providing best facilities to the new renovated centre.
The doctors and students will feel comfortable to work in this environment, he stated.
Meanwhile, Dean (Academic) and head of Department of Community Medicine Prof Brogen Singh Akoijam stressed on the need to keep the centre neat and clean and commended all concerned for their efforts in renovating the centre within short notice.
Faculty member of Community Medicine Department M Hemanta Kumar Singh, Civil (Consultant)-1, engineering staff of RIMS, officials, staff and students were also present at the inauguration programme.
