Imphal, February 12 2018: Names of individuals who have been selected for the 4th Maharaj Kumar Priyobrata Singh Memorial Art Award and Honourable Mention 2018, were announced today.

A press release issued by the secretary of Arts Society Manipur today, stated that the 4th Maharaj Kumar Priyobrata Singh Memorial Art Award 2018 will be given to Hijam Satyabrata Singh for his acrylic and ink painting 'Untitled II' .

The award includes a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and a shawl as well as a citation.

The Honourable Mention 2018 will be given to Naorem Rajesh Singh for his charcoal and soft pastel painting 'An Artist'.

The award ceremony will be handed out to the said individuals during the inauguration of an art exhibition at Manipur State Art Gallery hall on February 13, which also happens to be the birth anniversary of Maharaja Priyobrata Singh, it added.
