Week-long Travelling Book Fair kicks off at Kakching

Kakching, October 11 2024: The Book Culture, North East's week-long Travelling Book Fair has kicked off at the Library and Information Centre, Kakching today.

A slew of books covering a wide range of genres are available at the book fair at affordable prices to cultivate the habit of reading among the public.

The Travelling Book Fair, which is being held in Kakching for the first time, will travel to other districts of the State as well as other North Eastern states to build a community of book lovers.

Pukhrambam Yohen, Curator, Book Culture, stated that the book fair aims to create a reading environment and build a community of readers.

He urged the public to come to the book fair and help in developing a society that is well-read.

Travelling Book Fair is offering books in many genres such as fiction, nonfiction, academic, children's books, Manipuri literature and North East titles to name a few.

The book fair will conclude on October 17 .
