Imphal, August 11 2021: Relief items were provided to households worst hit by COVID-19, which have ailing persons and those of differently abled persons today in Wangjing Tentha Assembly Constituency under the aegis of Rakesh Naorem, social and cultural activist.

The relief items which also included 5 kgs of rice each and other edible items were distributed to around 40 affected households at Tentha Mayai Leikai, Mathak Leikai, Marongban, Tuwaban, Thambalchingya and Tentha Khongbal under Tentha Gram Panchayat by volunteers of COVID-19 Task Force Tentha.

Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Naorem said that he is well aware of the problems faced by the Covid affected families as he has gone through the same.

With an aim to reduce the hardships faced by many due to the ongoing dreaded COVID-19 pandemic and to render support to one another amid this difficult time, the distribution drive is being carried out.

Starting from June 21, relief items have been distributed to affected households to underprivileged and needy households and such distribution drive have been carried out in different places of Wangjing Tentha AC earlier, he added.

He further stated that he will continue to carry out such initiatives and will help the people of the AC earnestly. Patsoi
Former MLA of Patsoi AC, Sapam Kunjakishor (Keba) distributed Covid relief items at different places in Patsoi AC today.

The relief items were distributed to around 800 (eight hundred) households at Sagolband Tera Tongbram Leikai, Khuraijam Leirak and Lukram Leirak.
