Moreh, April 11 2020: Meetei Council Moreh (MCM) has lauded the State Government and relevant departments such as civil administration, district police and other security forces for sealing Indo-Myanmar border to check the spread of novel coronavirus in the State.

Speaking to media persons, general-secretary of MCM, N Inaocha said that such timely intervention has helped in containing the virus from spreading in the region (Moreh) .

Saying that receiving only 10-12 kg of rice per household from the State Government is hard for the Moreh populace to cope with the hardship presented by COVID-19 lockdown, N Inaocha appealed the State Government to increase their share of rice to at least 20 kilos per household in the next allocation.
