44 AR organises culinary exchange programme

Imphal, March 10 2021:
Celebrating unified India and it's amazing culinary, 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 Sector AR/IGAR (E) organised a culinary exchange program at HQ & outposts today.
The food festival was held to make local people familiar with the food culture of the various state of the country as well as to introduce Manipuri delicacies to the soldiers of the Assam Rifles and total of approximately 400 people at battalion HQ and outposts located at Azuiram, Dikhuram & Gelnel participated in the event.
The Food festival had a variety of dishes including Idli & Dosa from South India; Chole Bhature from Punjab and Chak-Hao Kheer from Manipur.
The program at Tamenglong HQ commenced with a cultural show including folk songs & dances depicting different cultures of the nation.
The Officiating Commandant culminated the event with a inspirational speech about unity among diversity in India as part of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Program.
