Imphal, December 09 2015:
Manipur Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai on Wednesday stated that "doing nothing for the welfare of the society is not human nature".
She stressed on the necessity for every human being to do something good for the society.
Attending the 2nd foundation day of University of Bhagavata Culture (UBC) held at ISKCON Mandir, AK Mirabai said that the present problems facing by the people of Manipur including bomb blast and communal violence are the result of people's failure to respect each other and the consequences of ignoring the Almighty.
AK Mirabai further mentioned that it is not religion that separates and differentiates human beings from each other but the human beings themselves who separate and creates difference within the society.
The minister also recalled the contributions of Damodara Swami in promoting culture and heritage of Manipur around the world.
"It was due to the efforts made by the Swami that the University of Bhagavata Culture (UBC) exists today", said AK Mirabai.
