Kom bodies inspect construction site for museum

Imphal, June 09 2020: President, members of Kom Union Manipur and Kom Students Union, Manipur have conducted a site inspection today at Samulamlan under Samulamlan sub-division in Churachandpur district, where Kom Traditional Cultural Museum Hall will be established.

The site was inspected in line with the assurance of the Chief Minister to set up a traditional and cultural museum during a meeting held last month with all Tribal leaders, said a statement of Kom Union Manipur while lauding the Chief Minister for the initiative on behalf of the Kom community.

In the meantime, the Kom Union has visited the quarantine centres set up within Samulamlan sub-division and handed out sanitizers and sugar apart from distributing some pamphlets containing safety measures in Kom dialect, the statement continued.
