Civic Action Programme continues

The 152 Battalion CRPF, under the aegis of the IG Manipur and Nagaland Sector, CRPF, conducted a Civic Action Programme at Kanglatongbi, Imphal West on Thursday.
As part of the programme, 152 Bn CRPF distributed stationery items like school bags, copies, pens, pencils, and spiral notebooks to the students.
The programme was attended by Love Kumar, PMG, Commandant, 152 Bn CRPF as the chief guest, said a release issued by CRPF.
Suresh Kumar, 2IC; Sunil, OC of C/152; Insp Vikram of OC F/152; other personnel of the Unit and people of Kanglatongbi were also present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Love Kumar highlighted the inherent spirit of the Civic Action Programme (CAP) as a welfare measure for local people and assured that they would continue to carry out similar programmes in the future.
Earlier, the Unit carried out CAP in Tairenpokpi and Khongnangpokpi villages in which water storage tanks, mosquito nets, badminton rackets, shuttlecock, and shoes were distributed to the villagers.
The welfare measures undertaken by 152 Bn, CRPF, Imphal West were appreciated by the village chief and residents of Kanglatongbi.
Moreover, in a bid to address the needs of local communities and strengthen the bond between the security forces and the local populace, 158 Bn CRPF organised a CAP at Senjam Chirang village.
It was graced by the village chief Manik Chand; Sanjay Negi, Commandant.
158 Bn CRPF; Pradip Kumar Singh, 2-1/C; and Sumeet Kumar, Dy Commandant among others.
At the event, Sanjay Negi expressed his satisfaction in having the opportunity to meet the long-standing needs of the village's youth and children.
He assured the gathering that CRPF would continue to serve the local communities through such humanitarian efforts.
During the event, sports items including volleyball, volleyball nets, footballs as well as water tank, dustbin and solar lights were distributed to the beneficiaries.
These provisions were specifically targeted at the residents of Senjam Chirang village, which lies near the deployment of F/158 in the Imphal West district.
The villagers praised the crucial role of CRPF in maintaining security and lauded the people-friendly initiatives undertaken by the force.
