Imphal, October 08 2015:
The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has on Thursday greeted the people of Manipur heartily on the occasion of its 38th raising day that falls on October 9 .
A message signed by PREPAK acting chairman Kh Sathy on Thursday expressed regret that the present generation seems to have forgotten that Kangleipak (Manipur) nation was historically built up by united people of both the valley and hills.
It maintained that the 'divide and rule' policy adopted by the alleged colonial India has put a wedge between the communities and that because of this destructive strategy 'our brethren' have visibly created the notion of being 'outsiders' or people of other lands.
Kangleipak had witnessed communal clashes and at the same time there are foreseeable future conflict and clashes as India has been endlessly working on it, the message said.
In the 66 years of colonial rule Kangleipak has been destroyed beyond redemption and that the relationships of the valley and hills, their common identity, economy, culture, agriculture and workmanship have been left in a position that cannot be restored, PREPAK said.
It accused the Constitution of India of openly threatening the integrity of Kangleipak under a hidden agenda game of India which had even achieved success over time.
India with intent chose Manipur as a Part (C) State while the special category status was given to Kashmir in a same year, the outfit said.
PREPAK condemned the Government of India for allegedly not trying to resolve the decades-old boundary issues between Manipur and Nagaland and between Assam and Nagaland.
The outfit also condemned India for allegedly violating the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948 and accused it of attempting to obliterate the 'Kangleipak Nation' .
According to the outfit, more than 1,528 people had been killed in several encounters in Manipur in the past few years which were fake and staged managed.
There have been many cases of enforced disappearance and many have been raped by Indian security forces and its agencies.
To conclude, the outfit gave revolutionary salute to those who had died during the revolutionary movement and also those who are now behind bars for the cause of the motherland.
