Kakching, January 08 2018: The KET (Kakching Educational Trust) Scholarship 2018 was distributed today at Representative of Lois (Rol), Kakching Chumnang Leikai.

The 11th scholarship award distribution ceremony was organised by KET, Kakching in which Deputy Commissioner, Kakching, Neilenthang Telien attended as chief guest, JNIMS, Imphal chief Librarian Dr N Giridhari Singh as president.

According to the KET examination and interview conducted at JRD Pathseekers' Academy, Kakching on December 24, Priyangka Naorem, JNV Khumbong received 1st KET scholar 2018, Naorem Sovinity Devi of Padma Ratna English School, Kakching received 2nd KET scholar and Moirangthem City Singh of Padma Ratna English School, Kakching the 3rd KET scholar 2015 .

Moirangthem City Singh has been selected for the Late Mayanglambam Birchandra Singh Memorial KET Scholar, reports our correspondent.

For the category of KET Scholar 2016-2017 (Government Schools), Ksh Nicolas Singh of Practising Junior High School, Kakching will received 'Sh Tomei & Madhumati Meritorious Scholarship', M Helena Devi of Kakching Model High School will received 'Ksh Apabi Devi Memorial award' and Kh Linthoingambi of Practising Junior High School, Kakching to receive 'Nongmaithem Yaima Singh and Tomal Devi Memorial scholarship' .

A symposium on 'Students' life and reading habit' was also held in which the winners of the symposium were also awarded.
