Mom cries foul play over daughter's death

Imphal, January 08 2014: Ksh Janshirani, mother of RK ongbi Tamphasana w/o RK Milan of Singjamei Thokchom Leikai, who was found dead hanging inside her own room on May 29, 2009, has demanded strict punishment of the deceased's husband after examining the post mortem report.

Addressing a press meet in this regard at Manipur Press at Manipur Press Club here today, Ksh Janshirani said Tamphasana was found dead hanging on May 29 at 10 am under suspicious circumstances but the news of the death was passed on to her at around 2.30 pm.

Janshirani informed that when she examined the dead body, there were injuries marks on the face with blood coming out from the mouth and added that she went to Singjamei Police Station following next day morning to file a complaint but the police refused to register it saying that it was a suicide case and no complaint could be lodged.

The bereaved mother said that the truth of the matter will come out only after the post mortem report is fully examined.
