Thoubal barrage to start releasing water

Imphal, June 07 2020: In abid to ease the drought like situation in around 7 (seven) Assembly Constituencies of Thoubal district, Maphou Dam and Thoubal Barrage will start releasing water very soon, said Th Jadumani former vice president BJP Manipur Pradesh.

He said that villagers were facing difficulties in getting drinking water and most of the farmers weren't able to continue double cropping this time.

For this, he visited Maphou Dam and Thoubal Barrage along with staff of Water Resources Department including Assistant Engineer I Ramananda and after minute discussion it decided to release the water in the coming 4/5 days, Jadumani said in a statement.
