'Thawan Potlakpa' ritual performed

Imphal, August 06 2024: The traditional "Thawan Potlakpa" ritual of Ibudhou Pakhangba was performed yesterday at Uttra Shanglen, Sana Konung.

According to a statement issued by Laishram Poreiton, publicist, Uttra Shanglen, during the ritual Angom Ningthou, traditional office bearers, pena artistes and many others offered prayers to Ibudhou Pakhangba for peace and harmony to reign in Manipur.

On the other hand, the Angom Ningthou also offered prayers with the people at Khurai Ahong Pung on the auspicious day of "Nongma Panba".

Additionally, custom secretary, Langjing Purel, Wangkhei Lakpa, Khabam Lakpa and Khurai Lakpa among others visited the sacred site of Ibudhou Nongdren Khomba Pakhangba at Itam Nungoi and Loushangkhong yesterday on the day of "Nongma Panba" and kicked off the indigenous tradition of "Laibung Kaba" .
