Imphal, July 06 2013 : Under the sponsorship of Manipur AIDS Control Society (MACS) and State Blood Transfusion Council Manipur (SBTC), Association of Voluntary Blood Donor (AVBD) Manipur; Electricity Department; Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts; Social Welfare Department and Blood Bank JNIMS jointly organised a day-long voluntary blood donation camp at the Keishampat office complex of Electricity Department here today.

As part of the camp, the inaugural function of which was graced by N Sarat, Chief Engineerof Power; Dr Bimolakumari Devi, CMO of Imphal West and Th Chitra, Director of Social Welfare as president, chief guest and guest of honour respectively, a motivation talk on voluntary blood donation was also conducted by two resource persons namely Dr A K Brojen Singh, president of AVBD and Dr K Surjit, MO of Blood Bank, JNIMS.

Altogether 64 units of blood were collected during the camp.
