Kangpokpi, March 05 2019:
In view of the ensuing Lok Sabha election 2019 and to ensure free and fair election, Lalithambigai K (IAS), District Magistrate (DM) Kangpokpi has directed all the arm licence holders of the district to deposit their licensed arms and ammunition at the nearest Police Station on or before March 10.License of those who fail to deposit their arms and ammunition within the given timeline will be cancelled without any further notice, said a statement of DM Kangpokpi.
Institutional licence holders like Banks and other financial institutions and National members of the Rifles Association in the district will be exempted from the order, it added.
