AR organises cleanliness drive

Imphal, January 05 2020: Tulihal Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised cleanliness drives today.

The aim of the drives was to sensitise the local populace about the importance of clean and healthy environment, said a statement of PRO IGAR (South) .

Tulihal Company Operating Base (COB) conducted the drive as part of "Swachh Bharat Mission" at Changangei Tulihal and Malom areas along NH-02 in Imphal West district.

The event commenced with a lecture on "Swachh Bharat Mission" in which the locals were also educated on global warming, its harmful effects and the benefits of tree plantation to counter it.

Discussion on various lifestyle related diseases including their preventive measures was also carried out, said AR.
