Dimapur, October 04 2015:
The proscribed National Socialist Council of Nagaland led by SS Khaplang or the NSCN (K) has staunchly justified its armed movement against India.
In a statement issued by its Ministry of Information & Publicity (MIP), NSCN (K) said the banning of NSCN/GPRN and re-imposing of "redundant British Armed Forces (Special Powers) Acts (AFSPA) in Naga country" proves that Nagas are not Indians and "India is a foreign power" desperate to prolong her illegitimate political hegemony over the Nagas through sheer military might.
Calling India's democracy a sham and the country's claims of being the world's biggest democracy, a disgrace, NSCN (K) said this has only desecrated the land of the birth of Gandhi.
"Mahatma Gandhi's principle of nonviolence and India's consistent armed violence/bloodshed and her government's sponsored terrorism in Nagaland for more than six decades speaks volumes of India's political immaturity and diplomatic fiasco," asserted the MIP statement.
The statement said "India's Neo-Nazism and Neo-Fascism" enforced upon the Nagas cannot be contested and stated that India bans cow slaughter but "devalues human lives and condones slaughter of innocent and non-combatant Naga men, women, children and civilians indiscriminately" .
Pointing out that India empowers her security forces to engage in "extra judicial extermination, rape, molestations, arson, mass concentration camps/mass groupings, genocide" and destruction of properties, NSCN (K) reminded that thousands of Nagas have perished in "mass concentration camps" .
During the last six months of ceasefire abrogation, the army backed by the inhuman Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) has "intensified militarism in Naga country" and as a result over 30 Nagas have already been killed and injured.
Pointing out that more than 50 Nagas are being held in confinement without access to judiciary or medicinal facilities, NSCK (K) also accused the Indian Army of inhuman torture.
The Indian Army are supposed to be deployed against external threat to India alone and therefore to camouflage its external aggression in Naga country, the army empowered with AFSPA are dispatched under the cover of paramilitary to whitewash the conflict as internal disturbance, said NSCN (K) .
The outfit also ridiculed India's lobby to gain permanent seat in UN Security Council calling it ironic while the suppression of the Nagas was still on, said the MIP statement.
NSCN (K) asserted that Naga resistance movement against India's external aggression is "just, legal and one instance of humanity's struggle against oppression and can never be subdued merely because the NSCN is proscribed and AFSPA invoked" .
