GB meeting of MWSAP held

Naharlagun, October 04 2014 : The general body meeting of Manipuri Welfare Society of Arunachal Pradesh (MWSAP) was held at the Conference Hall of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Polo Colony at Naharlagun in Itanagar today.

The general body meeting was presided over by S K Singh, President of Manipuri Welfare Society of Arunachal Pradesh (MWSAP), while P Sunamani Singh, President of Manipuri Association of North India (MANEI), Kh Kanta Singh, Vice- President of Manipuri Association of North India (MANEI), Ng Kishorjit Singh, Organising Secretary of MANEI, Y Nabachandra Singh, President of United Committee Manipur (UCM) and S Prakah Singh, General Secretary of North East Students Organisation (NESO) attended as Special Guests.

Four outstanding sportspersons, namely S Deven Sharma ( Karate), Rupachandra (Badminton), Kh Akasini Devi (Archery) and K Romio Singh (Moutaineering) were also honoured by MWSAP during the meeting.

The first Lamyanba Award of MWSAP was also presented to Thokchom Somilon for his dedication and hard work towards bringing up the organization.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice-President of MWSAP Kh Kanta said that the Manipuris living outside Manipur fully understand the problems and issues of their home state.

They are willing to render utmost help and support to their fellow Manipuris for the welfare and development of Manipur, he assured.

Other dignitaries of the meeting also emphasized on the need for unification of all Manipuris across the globe to work together for a new progressive Manipur.
