Imphal, October 04 2013 : The schedule of the election to students' unions in various Government and Government Aided Colleges in Manipur for the academic session, 2013-14 has been announced.

According to a notification issued by Additional Director of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur Dr RK Yaikul Singh today, the election would be held on October 18 from 9 am to 12 noon.

The last date of filing nomination is October 10 (upto 3 pm) and the last date of withdrawal of nomination is October 14 (upto 3 pm).

The scrutiny would be done on October 14 starting from 11 am till the end of the process and the counting of the votes would be carried out from 1 pm onwards of October 18 .

In view of the election, October 10 has also been fixed as the last date of issue and renewal of ID cards, the notification said, adding that the cost of nomination form is Rs 100 and the amount of security deposit is Rs 400 each.
