Skill development programme on integrated farming system concludes

Bishnupur, September 04 2024: The 5-day skill development programme on the subject "Integrated Farming System in Hill Ecosystem" conducted by ICAR KVK Churachandpur under ICAR's Prime Minister 100 Days Action Plan came to a close today.

The programme notably kicked off from August 29 at Kwakta Sericulture Relief Camp under the aegis of Dr Ramgopal Laha, Head, ICAR Regional Centre for North East Hill Region Manipur.

On the occasion, Dr Manoj Kumar Pandey, Senior Scientist cum Head of KVK Churachandpur, Dr L Somendro, CTO, Soil Scientist; Dr S Roma, CTO, Home; Dr N Soranganba, CTO Fishery; Hmannihring Anal, ACTO Agroforestry; Ph Chandramani, ACTO Horticulture, Dr N Johnson, ACTO Plant Production and other experts spoke in detail about integrated farming system as resource persons.

As a part of the training programme, the trainees were upskilled on vermicomposting, nursery management, mushroom production etc.

Fifty-four men and women participated in the training programme.

Certificates were distributed at the end of the programme.
