Imphal, June 04 2015 :
People of Manipur need to keep a close watch over the alliance between NPF and BJP in view of the former's political objective which is inimical to the State's integrity and the latter's response to the same objective, asserted JD-U Manipur unit.
Speaking to some media persons today, JD-U Manipur unit president M Tombi pointed out that NPF is an alliance of the BJP-led NDA Government.
Common people faced a lot of hardships as the ADC election became quite violent because of poll strategies chalked out by Congress and BJP which were all aimed at ensuring victory for their respective candidates through hook and crook.
It would be sheer romanticism if anyone is expecting development in remote areas through ADC Members who got elected on the strength of muscle power.
Whereas JD-U candidate's agent was barred entry at 28/8 polling station of Phungyar DCC, one Congress supporter resorted to massive proxy voting and the polling was over at 10 am.
There should be repoll in the particular polling station, Tombi demanded.
Strongly condemning the physical assault on some villagers by Kuki militants in Sadar Hills area, JD-U general secretary Lien Gangte said that nothing positive would come out of Congress party's excessive use of money power and muscle power in the ADC election.
