Imphal, February 03 2020: In connection with the death of Sagolsem Boy (44) s/o Ratan of Leishangkhong Makha Leikai, Imphal East district in a suspected hit and run case, a 24 hours bandh has been imposed on Imphal-Ukhrul road with effect from this midnight.

S Boy was killed after he was suspected to have been hit by a vehicle at Khurai Thongam Leikai at around 8.50 pm of January 30 .

Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here this afternoon, JAC Against the Killing of S Boy said that they would impose a 24 hours bandh along Imphal-Ukhrul road.

JAC convenor Kh Sanjoy said that the bereaved family as well as the local people still have no clear idea how Boy was killed by a speeding vehicle.

Even as a complaint was lodged to police to establish the facts and circumstances under which Boy was killed, police are still unable to establish any clue, Sanjoy lamented.

He then appealed to all local clubs, Meira Paibi groups and CSOs to support the Imphal-Ukhrul road bandh called by the JAC.
