Imphal, January 03 2014 : The Patriotic Writers' Forum, Manipur observed the 5th Death Anniversary of Arambam Saroj Nalini Parratt at Manipur Press Club here today.

The observance function was attended by Prof Jodhachandra Sanasam, president of Patriotic Writers' Forum, Manipur; Soubam Tomba Luwang, former president of Patriotic Writers' Forum, Manipur and Khelmani Kangabam, educationist and journalist as Presidium Members Addressing the gathering, Prof Jodhachandra stated that Saroj Nalini Parratt was a well-known figure who had written 'Queen Empress vs Tikendrajit Anglo Manipuri Conflict of 1891' (Vikas, New Delhi 1992) and English translation of 'Cheitharol Kumbaba' which received wide recognition and acclaim.

Rakesh Naorem, secretary of Patriotic Writers' Forum, Manipur, while delivering key note address, said Arambam Saroj Nalini Parratt passed away on January 3, 2009 but she will be always remembered by people.
